Friday Night Fights

While summer is traditionally a bit slower than our events, we had an incredible turn out for an amazing bout line up. Three title matches for the WKA Eastern Regional Lightweight, Welterweight and Middleweight titles were contested for.

The card consisted of 4 amateur boxing matches along with 8 Muay Thai bouts. Home town hero Chris Kwiatkowski scored his second knock out in as many bouts. After the "1 minute war" back in February Kwiatkowski was disappointed when his opponent at the May 2nd event left him hanging at the last minute. Eager to make his return to the ring Kwiatkowski made sure that he would let it all hang out in his match against Puerto Rico's Ramiro Alcantara. With the action steady throughout the first 2 rounds Kwiatkowski, never one to leave anything behind in the ring - pressed the action and took the fight out of the judges hands by stopping Alcantara with a low kick.

The next event will be the Rumble on the River - Thursday Jul 17th at Pier 84 in Manhattan.
